Apologies for my sour face

Topshop platforms, Zara crop top, Monki skirt, clutch from India, fashion blogger, Dubai

Heya! I start with an apology because I just can’t stop myself from mentioning the weather, 42 degrees when these photos were taken!! The other week it was 100% humidity!! I was dying in the heat, so this all black outfit was the perfect decision for the desert sun!

Now I’m back home in Ireland for the summer and I know I’ll soon get sick of the grey clouds and rain, just can’t win! I’m still praying to the sun gods that the sun might make an appearance yet! Speaking of Ireland the title of this post is the title of one of my fav Irish songs, you should have a listen 🙂

I picked up this skirt last year in a shop called Monki in the Netherlands. Before I moved to the Middle East I would have never worn a skirt like this one. I thought these skirts were for older people or taller people, and would make me look like a granny. Now I love them! They actually make me feel like a princess! While walking I can feel that full skirt brushing on my leg, I feel so ladylike. I know it’s silly but I do! I don’t feel so covered up either because at work I have to cover my tattoos which means always maxi skirts or pants. So on weekends, the ankles come out to play! It’s a very simple button down black skirt with pockets, I got another in the same style because I loved it so much and at only 10 euro it was a steal!

The shoes I got last year from Topshop. They were bought with my first paycheck from my current job and were not cheap! I can’t remember exactly but definitely more than 100USD. I used to wear them a lot but I actually forgot I had them until I did a clean out of my wardrobe a few weeks ago! That being said I do love them, so comfortable with that chunky heel and platform.

Vintage clutch bag, india, hamsa hand ring, Egypt

The bag I got for next to nothing in India! I am in love with it, I think it looks quite vintage in a way. It’s so unique as well I didn’t even see the same bag where I bought it. I’ve had it for over a year and there’s no damage to it at all! It’s the perfect clutch too as it fits your phone, keys, money and some lipstick comfortably. I love picking up little gems like this when I’m travelling, if you’d like to see some of my travel posts check out the travel section on the blog.
